Amazing Adverbs

Here are some of the adverbs Amber class brainstormed today:

Can you use each one in a sentence?

Amber Class Treat

Amber class have filled their marble jar.  To celebrate this we will be holding a pyjama party on Thursday 1st December. School uniform must be warn as usual, but if you wish to bring a change of clothes (pyjamas/onesies/something a bit more comfortable) please do, to change into after lunch.

We are going to watch a film, if you have a good film on DVD you think the class might enjoy please feel to bring it in, we will have a vote to choose the most popular.

There will also be some quiet activities on at some of the tables, for those who might want to be more productive, while not stopping others from enjoying the film.

Please note that children who have displayed poor behaviour may be excluded from this event. It would be nice if everyone could join in though!

Materials and Modelling

For several weeks, Year 2 have been exploring different materials. We’ve designed, built and tested our own rafts, predicted which material would be the strongest to build a bridge, and last week, we built junk models made out of recycled materials. The children spent time the week before designing their junk models before using tape and glue to build the objects using a range of different materials. We discovered some talented and enthusiastic designers in our midst!

Junk Modelling

In Art on Friday Topaz class took their detailed plans from last week’s lesson and used these to build magnificent structures using materials from home including cereal boxes, egg boxes and plastic bottles. Some the ideas included a rocket, a car, a house and a birthday cake!
